At what age does my child join the pre-school?
Generally, children join in the September after they turn two. For children born in September and October, there is an option to join in the January after turning two.
How long is the waiting list for the pre-school and when are places allocated?
Waiting lists vary year on year. We recommend contacting us prior to your child turning one. Places are allocated around 18 months in advance.
When can we visit?
Visits are arranged once a pre-school application has been made.
How do we secure a place at the pre-school?
The earlier you apply and confirm your place the better chance you will have.
Do we accept funding?
Yes, we do. For more information please see our fees & funding page or contact the office to discuss your options.
What schools do children move onto?
Our children move on to a range of schools including mixed and single sex private and state. You can see more on our next schools page.
What hours do we offer for the pre-schools?
Children aged two attend mornings (9am-12pm) with an option for children to attend full days (9am-2pm) when they are ready (generally when they have dropped their nap). Children aged three+ attend full days (9am-2pm). They also have an option to join our early birds from 8:15am, and our after school clubs 2-3pm.
Do we offer any holiday camps, and if so, for what ages?
Yes, we offer play weeks throughout the year, for children aged 2-5. You can see them on our term dates page.
Do we offer after school clubs?
Yes, for children attending full days at King Henry's Road and Alexandra Road we have after school clubs, Monday-Friday, 2-3pm
What can my child do before they join the pre-school?
We offer accompanied classes prior to pre-school. From the term after children turn 3 months, they can join ABC sessions, which are lightly-directed baby classes. From 15 months, they can join Beginners which are 1 hour and 45 minute sessions, designed as a gentle introduction to pre-school. More information can be found on our Under 2s page.
Can my child attend part-time?
Yes, your child can attend part-time. However, the places offered are 5-day places and there is no reduction in fees for attending part-time.
Do you offer a reception year?
Yes, Reception year is offered at our King Henry's Road and Alexandra Road centres.
