Pre-school education for children

Ages 2–5 years

Our full days for older children run 9am-2pm, five days a week during term time. They are also welcome to attend after-school clubs from 2-3pm and our early birds drop off from 8.15am, depending on which centre they are attending.

Younger children begin attending mornings, 9am-12pm and move to full days when they are ready.

During the holidays RSG runs PlayWeeks for all ages.

A day at Ready Steady Go

We balance a planned educational programme with spontaneous, child-initiated activities. We both take our lead from the individual children’s interests and build on their abilities.

As well as teacher-led activities, children are given opportunities to choose the activities in which they wish to participate. We encourage sustained, uninterrupted periods of self-motivated play, allowing and enabling children to explore, experiment and think for themselves.

PlayWeeks

We run fun packed holiday camps with activities centred around a theme in the holidays and at some half-terms.

Playweeks are more informal and less consciously educative than a pre-school week during term time. Wherever possible, there will be a teacher from every centre, bringing familiarity to the child’s experience.

There are lots of free-choice activities, making and baking, and arts and crafts. There is no record-keeping but there are many adventures.

Arrange a Visit

We welcome families to visit our Primrose Hill centres, meet our educators and experience the Ready Steady Go environment firsthand. Our admissions team is available to answer questions, guide you through the process and help you find the right setting for your child’s early years journey.
