We read the book, It’s A No Money Day, about a child whose mother needs to use a foodbank, to encourage thought about those less fortunate than ourselves.
We discussed what we could do to help and it was decided that we would start a collection for our local food bank. The Reception group wrote signs reminding everyone what items to bring in. The children enjoyed watching the tower of groceries and toiletries grow — and grow.
